Gainesville Public Safety Facilities Surveying
Gainesville, FL
JBPro serves as the principal surveyor for multiple concurrent public safety facilities projects funded in part by a local sales tax referendum in Gainesville, Florida. See below for featured projects that our team has worked on.
Gainesville Police Department Headquarters Evidence Building Expansion: Our team provided topographic surveying for the demolition and reconstruction of the police evidence storage facility in Downtown Gainesville. The team performed ground penetrating radar and subsurface utility engineering location to survey grade for site architects, civil engineers, and MEP utility planning. Finally, as an added value to the design team, we performed LiDAR scans of building footprints, clearance, corners, and entrances for architectural 3-D BIM models (LiDAR scan of project site is pictured above).
SW Public Safety Complex Annex: For this project, our team provided tree location surveys for all trees 8” DBH and above on a wooded 20-acre parcel in southwest Gainesville. We also performed a boundary and topographic survey of the parcel, a 75-foot utility easement, FDOT right of ways and local street intersections. Additionally, the team flagged wetland delineation and performed ground penetrating radar and subsurface utility engineering location to survey grade for site architects, civil engineers, and MEP utility planning.
City of Gainesville Fire Station Headquarters and Emergency Operations Center: For this project, our team is providing surveying services for the new construction of the Gainesville Fire Rescue Headquarters and Emergency Operations Center in Downtown Gainesville. JBPro performed a boundary and a topographic survey of the parcel intended for construction. The topographic survey located all above ground features and included surface contours with 1-ft intervals. Additionally, our team performed an additional boundary survey on an adjacent parcel to facilitate its purchase for the construction project’s needs.
JBPro is proud to be a part of these critical projects which strengthen and reinforce public safety infrastructure across the City of Gainesville.
