Alfred A. Ring Park Wildflower Garden
Gainesville, FL
In 2024, the City of Gainesville hired JBPro to design and implement a restored butterfly and pollinator garden at Alfred A. Ring Park in Gainesville, Florida. The newly restored garden will enhance biodiversity, provide educational opportunities, and contribute to the ecological health of the area. JBPro’s Landscape Architecture team is working closely with City staff to envision the landscape design elements and concepts as well as the construction plans for the garden.
JBPro’s Landscape Architecture team created and submitted comprehensive landscape design plan sets for review. This plan set included demolition plans, hardscape plans, invasive plant removal plans, planting plans, maintenance plans, and irrigation plans. Additionally, JBPro’s Landscape Architecture team curated a native plant palette to ensure the design aligns with the site’s ecological and aesthetic goals. The new design also included plans for a small utility shed near the garden to aid in maintenance efforts and replacement of existing pergolas.
